The head says: I’m overwhelmed.
My thoughts are spiraling.
Logic is failing.
The lungs reply: Breathe, one inhale at a time.
The heart asks: How long, O Lord?
Why have You forsaken me?
Will You always be silent?
The eyes say: My tears have been my food.
The hands reply: Take my yoke that is easy.
The lips utter: I hunger.
The hands answer: Take this bread.
The back says: I ache.
The shoulders reply: Place your burden upon me.
The arms echo: I will envelope you.
The fingers say: I will wipe every tear from your eyes.
The soul says: It is well.
