Sunday October 13, 2019:

Today my dear brother, we will examine the word “Courage.” The Oxford Dictionary defines courage as “The ability to do something that frightens one.” The proverbial singer, “Bob Marley,” demonstrated courage based on his belief in (Jah), by stating to standing room only crowds around the world, “Get up, stand up for your rights, don’t give up the fight.” My eternally bonded fraternal brother, The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., states, “Courage is an inner resolution to go forward despite obstacles and courage breeds creativity.” Naturally, one must have an innate or acquired spirit in maintaining freedom, liberty, and independence through courage.

The bible states, “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. (Deuteronomy 31:6). The bible also states, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall, I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). Based on the above references, courage is mandated in our lives and well-being to live a life of grace with God’s love and blessings.

One must believe, demonstrate courage, and the quality of spirit to face danger in the following ways: morally, physically, socially, spiritually, and/or intellectually with the tenancy to bring about resolutions in the face of danger. This is a choice to take action without cowardice. When David faced Goliath, he acted with the courage of God going before him (1 Samuel 17: 48-50). Likewise, you must demonstrate courage with God going before you to be victorious.

One must be dressed in the full armor of God, especially being guarded with the breastplate of righteousness to withstand the evil and fiery darts (Ephesians 6:10-18). Today I pray that each of you be dressed in His armor, walk in His light, go with His presence, faith, grace and strength in all endeavors and defeat obstacles in your path. Be victorious in His name always.

May His presence, grace, strength, spirit, and love always be with, and go before you on your path and travels in life.

Blessings always!
